What is Keratin Treatment? It is a revolutionary process that softens, shines, straightens and makes hair healthy. How often should I get a pedicure?

In 2000 10 women on the David Letterman show were asked if they had a pedicure and only one of them answered yes. In 2010 you can ask the same question and 9 out of 10 women will likely say they have pedicure.

What is pedicure? It is a service you can get in professional salon or spa that includes removing dry skin from the sole of the feet, exfoliation of the skin, shaping of toe nails and cuticles, foot massage and finally, toe nail polish. At Ultrabeauty Day Spa we provide upgraded pedicures that include services such a reflexology massage, a green tea pedicure, hot honey and more.

But the question is how often do we need to do pedicure? The answer is at least once a month. We all spend a lot of time on our feet. Calluses, or the dry skin on bottom our feet make our feet, is very uncomfortable. Sometimes it burns or itches and creates a lot of discomfort. Removing calluses makes your feet lighter, bringing oxygen to your skin. In addition, as toe nails grow and you can see when polish was last applied. Airbrush Tanning

Ultrabeauty Day Spa offers an Airbrush Spray Tanning Service. Airbrush Tan with scrub is a great way to get a tan that lasts a week while having soft exfoliated skin. It makes for an even, beautiful glow or sun kissed skin without the chance of damage from UV rays.

We begin with the exfoliation. The smoother your skin is the more even the tan will be. After showering, the skin is dried and we apply moisturizer to prevent tanning lines. You are then ready for a tan.

Before we begin airbrushing we'll help you choose a skin tone and recommend procedures and products to help you maintain your new tan, as well as the health of your skin. Applying our specially blended tanning formula is easy with our professional airbrush. Our tanning formula is not a dye and will not rub off on your clothes or wash off in the pool. It fades gradually, just like a suntan, and usually lasts up to two weeks, depending on your skin.  We will spray tan your entire body while avoiding fingers and toes. You will dry and go home with a beautiful tan.

Wait at least 8 hours before showering or rinsing your body after your tan is applied. At your first shower after tanning, expect about 25% - 30% of the tan to wash off. This is normal and helps blend in any dark areas. We recommend you wear dark, loose clothing immediately following your tanning session, until your first shower. Your new tan is now complete. It will fade slowly over the next week or two. Make sure to moisturize your skin after every shower and, if you're going outside in the sun, apply sun block as you normally would to protect your skin from the sun's harmful UV rays. Keep your skin healthy and your tan will look better and last longer.

Detoxify Yourself: Week of Detox at Ultrabeauty Day Spa

Ultrabeauty Day Spa’s week of Detox means getting rid of toxins that poison your body in and out. We live in a fast world where we don’t have time to cook fresh meals, connect with nature, connect with ourselves and no time for relaxation. Our body quickly adapt to the antibiotics we create to combat toxins.  In addition, natural allergens, like pollen and dust leave us fatigued and susceptible to illness.

Although our circulation and elimination systems (specifically lungs and liver) work hard to detoxify our bodies, with all of the toxins that we encounter daily, these systems easily become overloaded. Fortunately, our bodies "tell" us when they can use some help.

To heal the body, there are a number of spa treatments that many individuals find to be effective  including  body wraps, saunas, therapeutic massage (especially lymphatic massage), exercise and/or meditation programs (yoga is highly recommended), professional nutritional counseling and dietary assistance.

During the week of Detox, Ultrabeauty Day Spa offers a variety of detox treatments to help you feel better, restore your energy and regain your well being. Following are the recommended treatments. Let us customize a treatment plan for you.

Start with Sauna or Steam ($10.00) to prepare your body for a deep muscle massage. The smell of eucalyptus helps to clear your lungs and the perspiration removes the toxin from your body .Drink our signature tea with fresh mint and lemon as you enjoy great relaxation.

Therapeutic massage mixed with cupping massage ($100.00) - 45 min therapeutic massage with concentration on problem areas finishing with a 15 min cupping massage for total body detox and deep relaxation.

The cupping massage releases rigid soft tissue, drains excess fluids and toxins, loosens adhesions and lifts connective tissue to bring blood flow to stagnant skin and muscles. The sensation of cupping is often characterized as deep warmth and tingling, long after the treatment has ended. Cupping is not an irritant to the skin or body. It draws the inflammation from the skin’s tissue. Massage cupping is often used on the broad areas of the back, which is a wonderful addition to any massage. The treatment is sedating, and people will often descend into a profound state of relaxation.
